These past 30 plus hours have been the longest hours of my life!! Even though I saved a lot of money booking the flights that I did, I think that in the future I would pay little bit extra to have a more convenient flight. There was so much waiting around! We had to wake up at the crack of dawn for our first flight and had to wait in the JFK airport for around 10 hours until we could board our flight to Dublin. Our flight to Dublin experienced really bad turbulence multiple times throughout the flight. Thankfully, I was fast asleep during the major episode witch caused many passengers running to the bathroom sick or calling for help from the flight attendants. Definitely not disappointed I missed that! After arriving at the airport and going through customs, we had to wait for another few hours for all five of us to arrive since there were only three of us on my flight. It was nice to arrive early in the morning in Dublin with the day ahead of us, but we were all so tired that we couldn't really function.
Waiting...
And more waiting...
Once everyone arrived and bags were accounted for, we hoped on a bus and attempted to find our Jacob's Inn hostel. Fortunately, we weren't too far off. Since we weren't able to officially check into our room yet, we checked our bags into a room. We grabbed a map and began our first adventure. We found a famous pub to have lunch at and then explored Trinity College. Dublin in absolutely beautiful!! By this point we were able to check into our hostel and we were all dragging. After getting situated we all took a very successful 2 hour or so nap!!! Now it's time to figure out our dinner plans and head to bed early to try to get on their schedule.
Many exciting adventures are planned for tomorrow! Stay classy!
Sounds like a very long travel day, but the worst is over and now for the adventure! Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and can get on the new schedule quickly! Love this blog!
