Today was absolutely incredible!!! So worth the long day and 40 euros!!
We awoke early this morning in order to catch our tour bus leaving at 7am. We all took a quick nap on the bus while driving out of the city. After a quick stop for toilets and coffee, we were awake and enjoying the amazing Ireland countryside. Thankfully, the weather was on our side and it was a beautiful partly cloudy day. The grass was picture perfect green! It was so fun to see all of the quaint villages, beautiful homes, animals, and structured landscape. This is how I had always pictured Ireland.
After a 4 hour drive across the country, we finally arrived at the Cliffs of Moher. These cliffs are located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region. They reach a maximum hight of 702 ft from the Atlantic Ocean. Breathtaking!! We had about 2 hours to hike along the paths of the cliffs. We were told that around 15-20 people dye each year from falling off the cliffs, so we were advised to walk along the path that was a good distance from the edge along with railings and fences. Yet, our group decided to be dare devils with the strong convincing voice of one of our members, Bailey... We ended up walking along a dirt path closer to the edge for most of the hike. I love the thrill of being on the edge and going on adventures, but man, it was very scary at times!! Don't worry mom, I was being very safe and was kind of the mom of the hike. Haha my group kept making fun of me because I kept telling group members to get on the right path, back up, step away from the edge, or just say their name and look at them in a concerned stare (cough cough Bailey). By the end of the hike members of the group were asking my permission to go places dangerous ha. But hey, I like to believe we all lived thanks to me:) We took a million photos!!

This quick stop on the way to Galway was well worth it!
